You need to prepare these tools before the installation begins, it is easy to get.
I’m gonna show you how to replace android screen step-by-step, now let’s do it.
First of all pry out the air vent trim panel with a plastic pry tool,just be carefully.
then remove the cables plugged into the jack on the back of the panel.
Take off two screws around the screen, whenever you are removing these screws , make sure they don’t fall down back into the car because if so it’s difficult to find them.
Then take out the screen and unplug the LVDS cable.
Remove the two screws holding the CD
Pry off the air conditioning panel carefully, protection tape can be put around the panel to avoid damage.
Unbuckle the connector carefully and then unplug the cable, both need to be unplugged.
Unscrew the screws on both sides to remove the head unit.
Unbuckle the connector carefully and then unplug the power connector from the CD head unit.
Then the white connector end of the main power cord for the Android screen will go through the hole where the CD is located, and then come out from the hole where the screen is located.

Connecting the quad lock connector plugs on the main power cables of Android and original CD, then lock it down.
PLug android power cable to original headunit (if your car has optic fiber, need to relocate it to android plugs).
Pass the 4g antenna, GPS antenna, screen power cable, etc. through the gap of the base, then install the base on the original screen position.
Tighten the two screws around the screen
Plug the 4g antenna, GPS antenna, screen power cable, etc. into the interface of the screen.
Plug the black connector into the port on the air conditioner panel.
Then check whether the screen display and sound are good, whether the buttons on the steering wheel, iDrive is working properly.
Here are a few points to pay attention to when install the android display
No.1 If your car has optic fiber, need to relocate it to android plugs while installation, or else the problems maybe: No sound, No signal, or steering wheel control and knob control not working etc(refer to https://youtu.be/BIfGF_A1E2I)
No.2 if you car radio host system is EVO and has no AUX, need to connect AUX-USB audio box, some cars with EVO system have AUX also and do not need audio box.
X5 X6 NBT radio systems usually have AUX,
No.3 Aftermarket rear camera wiring for Auto gear car and manual gear car(if it is OE camera, just need to choose OE camera in camera type in android setting)
if there is no problems,sound and display are all good, then reinstall the removed panels back,this is what it looks like after installation.
